A Device to Measure Movement and Sleep That Won't Cramp Your Style
Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 1:09PM
We were intrigued by the original FitBit, which allows one to monitor activity and sleep, but were turned off by its design--as a clip-on plastic thing, it made us feel like a colossal nerd. Now, you can wear the company's new iteration, the FitBit Flex, and run with the cool crowd.
The new design puts the device into a socially acceptable wristband, that even comes in a range of colors. Not only does the Flex look infinitely better, it's also smarter, measuring more stuff like calories burned, hours slept, distance traveled, active minutes and quality of sleep--and still costs just $99.
Only catch is, at this writing, it's not yet for sale. The company is taking pre-orders for future purchase. We recommend you get on line just behind us.
